I've genuinely never heard anyone call it a batch in the West Midlands or Warwickshire - lived in Brum, Warwick, Leamington, and spend a fair amount of time in Cov.

I’ve just asked the missus, she looks after a couple of surgeries over Nuneaton way and she confirmed what Crown Hill was saying. All the girls use it in that neck of the woods.

Most of North Warks I’d say. As I say it’s the dividing phrase with Leicestershire here!

There were delicious cheese batches (cobs/rolls) in the Witton Lane yesterday. I hope this will be a regular thing although it may have had something to do with the 90s retro stuff.

I trod in some white dog shit outside the Villa Chippy before the game. Simultaneously impressed and pissed off as to how serious the club were promoting their 90's day.

Shame there was no chant of "We want Ellis out" to be honest. Nor "Big Fat Ron's claret n blue army".

Whatever you call the bread item, once chips are added it becomes a butty. Similar to bacon, that makes it a sarnie
