Word is that they want to move Pope on and replace him with James Trafford but it's being hampered by Pope's refusal to go anywhere.

Isn't Pope good?

All relative really.

He's not *bad*, but if Newcastle are upgrading their squad, he's definitely one the places they start upgrading.

If Martinez goes to Man Utd, it’s just for the cash. They aren’t going anywhere any time soon and aren’t even in Europe next season.

But they will likely finish well above us next season if we sell them Martinez.

I think they’ve got a heck of a long way to go to sort out their team to fit what Amorim wants. We are much further down the line with our team. I could see Amorim gone by Christmas. Martinez going there isn’t going to fix all of their problems.

Our best ever keeper , be a shame if he moves there as it will blot his copy book with us.

Hope he does a Bosnich if he goes there.

Shame he feels he needs to move there and shame we are prepared to sell (allegedly).

Would also add some fuel to the Emery/Martinez rift fire.
Our wage bill is out of control though and he's probably the top earner so from a commercial point of view it might make sense , though he is possibly worth +12 points a season.

Yes, but all the talk from us is about the comedy duo of Monchi and Vidagany selling everyone as cheaply as possible.  We could be in the bottom half next season thanks to this pair and im being deadly serious.

Deadly stupid maybe - selling everyone as cheaply as possible? At least try a bit harder with your trolling.

Why do you even bother?

How do you know BC hasn’t got their information from a reliable source? Might’ve tapped Monchi & Vidagany’s Fonz.

What makes you think our wage bill is out of control?

Wages being about the same as last year, while revenue up by £90m?
