ABU  Anyone But United and he would still remain a VP hero.
To go there at this time (as galling as it was Yorke, Young went there when we were average and they were winning titles) when they are a basket case and have a very poor manager would be the ultimate sickener and would shit all over his history with us.

I love Emi but he's on the downward slope, there's no getting away from that, and £45m is good money. Sell.

I also agree with whoever it was who said on the previous page that he doesn't think Unai has ever been entirely convinced.

Agreed, ideally with Rashford coming the other way.
Apparently Newcastle are after Rashford, according to Sky Sports (yes, I know!), so that could be a problem, especially as they're in the CL & we're not (row of vomit & tears emojis)!

Go back and watch the highlights of the Bayern game and decide if he's still good enough or not.

I’m not sure that’s the point though. Is he good enough? Absolutely, not sure anyone is questioning that. He’s had some fantastic performances last year. But he also had more poor performances than he had previously as well. Now was that a blip? Is it indicative of the start of a trend? No idea, but that’s the difficult decision the club has to make and work out whether this is the right point to cash out or not.

It maybe that he had 10 different centre half pairings to cope with as well.  This one feels like a mistake to me.

Not sure why anyone would want to go to Newcastle. It's really the arse end of nowhere. Takes fucking ages to get there and the place is fucking cold. And. Full. Of. Geordies.

To see Emi go there of all places would be galling.
But, it could be tempered (ever so slightly) if Garnacho came as part of the deal.
But not Rashford.

They’re now signing Mbuemo as well.  I thought interim said they had to sell first.  Fcuk football.
Maybe they have learnt from their neighbours.

They're not breaking the rules. The rules are set up for precisely this scenario. Previously successful clubs who are followed by glory-hunting twats around the world get to have success forever, challengers to their dominance get fucked over at every turn.

He looked as if he had to bail them/us more often than not, particularly early last season!

It's a barmy decision to let him go, I can only think it's out of PSR compliance desperatation on the part of the club (10 days till the deadline, lest we forget) because of his wages, as it seems that the Bailey deal to Saudi has gone quiet (unless I've missed something).

I need to dump this notion of fairness.

It is amazing the comments that he is on the downward slope because he is potentially leaving us - a few weeks we were singing that he was the worlds number 1

Of course if he stays with us he will still be the worlds number 1

The only problem with this is that it's totally incorrect.

When we were discussing potential required big name sales literally months ago, plenty of people were making this point about Martinez, before any of this Man United stuff or the tears at the last home match happened.

I'm still p8ssed off about the end of the season - all in our hands and we fcuk it up.

The consequences will begin to hit home in the coming weeks. It's been a long time since I've felt this disillusioned with football and our prospects for the upcoming season.
