I’m amazed he seems to be so cheap, keepers seem to have a bit more longevity than the others who have to run around a bit more.

How cheap is he?

If this is true. It will remind me of Southgate wanting Chelsea and ending up at Middlesbrough

Where are there any direct quotes from any reporter of repute on this?

I've not seen any. It's just the usual suspects on here panicking.

Yes if he does end up there it will suggest he couldn’t make it to one of the elite Clubs.

As for reputations remember Bosnich’s reception when he came back for the league cup tie!

i think he ends up there - just a feeling of envitability about it - says more than facts ever could.   If it happens it would be a real shame as it would tarnish his legacy like all those that have gone before him.

It is also such a strange move.  If were forcing him - then why - as hes the best in the world - in one of the most difficult to replace positions and will be lucky to end up in a cash positive position from selling him.

If he wants to go there - why - its a horrid dumpster fire of  club.  A graveyard for players careers, no european football,  an actual financial crisis, with a billion pounds in debts and 2 sets of clueless owners an a manager a bad start away from being fired.

Stems from this very vague story

https://www.givemesport.com/manchester-united-move-approved-by-world-cup-winner-fabrizio-romano-exclusive/

Basis seems to be Manure haven't decided on Onana, but if they do sell then Martinez states he has said yes (along with other linked keepers).

So of course that means Martinez has gone.

Who the feck would buy Onana from Man Utd? I think you'd have to pay someone to take him.

Profile. He'd be joining one of the biggest football clubs in the world , like it or not , they are . If they give him a massive 5 year deal which we can't he isn't saying no.

He does have 4 years left on his contarct that he signed last year.

I get the profile - but name one player in the last 5 years where it has done anything other than ruin there career (Ferendez - thats probably it).

He wouldn't be the first player to be really good everywhere he plays apart from Man Utd.

I reckon that if he moves and Emi goes to Man Utd, Onana probably does better at his next club than Emi does at his.

Glad to hear that Coopers won't do his MOTD order running trolling posts anymore as a team that finished 15th SHOULD be on first.

He's a player z has been voted best keeper in the world a couple of years in a row. He'd fancy his chances anywhere, and would feel like he'd win.

Like it or not, they are a big club who have enough quality about them to have done a fucking job on us last game of the season.

His sense of himself is such that he may well fancy the challenge. He wanted us in Champions League and to Wembley. Boxes ticked. He just hasn't won a trophy with us and bloody well should.

Why the fuck he'd go somewhere now where there isn't European football, and the support is lukewarm doesn't make sense.

It will be purely financial driven. And that includes the profile of the club such as Man U . Globally huge.

Well if this is true (and I truly hope it isn't), Monchi had better start earning his corn to get not one, but 2 goalies in!

I love Emi but he's on the downward slope, there's no getting away from that, and £45m is good money. Sell.

I also agree with whoever it was who said on the previous page that he doesn't think Unai has ever been entirely convinced.
