Face it Risso you made an error .
At least hold your hands up and acknowledge that penalties are generally scored

Nothing poor with Martinez record.

Oh dear

4 in 19 for us in the league as two of them were for Arse. Pickford who is also currently supposed to be a good penalty stopper is 6 in 30 at Everton (6 in 34 all time). So one in five is stopped is about the best ratio which tallies when you look at the most in Prem history which is Fabianski with 14 in 64.

Statistically 78-79% of penalties (mid-match) are scored which also backs this up. Shoot-outs are different and that is where Emi shines because there is no better keeper in the world at getting into players heads in that specific situation.

Never thought Fabianski's record would be so good. He seems bog-average to me (as a goalie generally).

Fully deserved - the definition of a world class keeper

Also - a reminder how myopic we are in this country - so many times Ive heard pundits say things like "he should be in the conversation [of best in the world]" etc.  Fuck that - he's the the number 1 in the world.

To be fair it’s only recently they’ve started acknowledging he should be in the conversation.

His move to Villa has arguably one of the most mutually successful moves in history, particularly for a keeper.
