They don't show the whistle or even mention it had been blown on the highlights. The ref reckoned he blew to stop the match for the VAR review. Half time/ Full Time is very distinct whistle compared to just stopping the game so would have been easy to find confirm or not.

It was blown for half time. The game isn't stopped to check VAR and there was a big argument over it and MOTD confirmed it was in the law of the game that when martinez saved it that it was half time and rebounds didn't count.
I'm 40 years old and have better things to do than lie about something that happend 3 or 4 seasons ago.
Google it or check the match thread from that day and I'm sure it was mentioned that the whistle for half time had already gone.

I'm stating the referees excuse he didn't blow for half time, but just stopped the game when there was no advantage for either team. A ref can stop the game whenever he feels like it. There might be a big hoohah why so they normally only do it for big reasons.

I don't believe him for one second, but stating unfortunately the SKY coverage doesn't give the whistle sound for us to hear the distinctive double peep halftime / full time.

Ah apologies I mistook your post as a dig at me. Yeah he had to lie to make it look like he knew the rules.
The players were heading towards the tunnel.

The commentator and the idiot they have doing the post match stuff makes TNT almost unwatchable. I'm glad that whetever happens, we should be allocated people higher up the food chain next season.

The female on co-comms was ridiculously negative as well.  Made Mark Lawrenson sound optimistic.

Oh, I couldn't disagree more. She made reference to our injuries & tiredness & got annoyed at the bellend next to her for not calling the ref a c**t earlier. She tried to give positives to our play, but lets be honest, we were a bit shit, so didn't give her much to work with, lol...

She has been superb all season on our games.

It was clear that prancing preening muppet of a ref was on a mission from the outset.

Nevermind two of the better teams in European football duking it out for a place in a major European SF.
No. It was only ever going to be the Ivan Kruzliak show. Any reflective glory he could gain laying down the law to Emi was going to be seized on.

Watkins had to wait 2 minutes to take his penalty, whilst Lille looked for the ball. Then they have the cheek to call Emi a cheat for telling them to button it.

Which booking? Both were not warranted.

Don't know if it been asked, but what was he actually booked for

First one was for time wasting, even though the ball was in play at the time.
The second one was because he was warned to stop winding up the crowd (when he shushed them) and the ref, who wasn't actually looking at him, heard the crowd booing and assumed he was winding them up again. He was actually looking for a ball so Ollie could take his penalty.

Was the ball actually in play at the time? Definitely shouldn’t have been booked regardless, but thought it was him about to take a goal kick

Am I too late with the news that Emi will miss the first leg of the Semi? That’s not good, putting it mildly.
