It’s great to see the Bears steam rolling Wanky Lanky, but it does make a mockery of the game. Its just plain daft playing cricket this late in September in this country because the ball dominates so much.

Well, I prefer it to some of the tedious bat-dominated draws. And they aren't going to reduce the amount of T20s so this is the only way we are gonna be able to see a decent number of matches of proper cricket.

Warwickshire have (funnily enough) passed Lancs' first innings' score, which means they win the trophy if there is a draw or any other outcome than a Lancs win.

You’ve got this 100%, no chance you’ll need to bat twice in this game.

First time I’ve seen any of Yates….surely he makes any winter tour? Look a class player

I'm really delighted for Danny Briggs this season. I've known him since he was 8. A really humble, genuine hard-working professional, who still takes an interest in his home-town club, still does Colts presentation evening if he can and even takes part in the Groundforce weekend at the beginning of the season if he's around. A top, top guy.

Just noticed he didn't bowl in Lancashire 1st Innings. There again, he clearly wasn't needed!!

He was pivotal in the championship win though and has had a very good season, coming in to replace someone like Jeets was always going to be a huge task and it's a great testament to him that he was able to step up and do such a decent job of it.

I didn't know that.

I'm not quite sure what the Bob Willis trophy is. We won the CC, so I get that, but why are we playing Lancs?

Last season, it was the replacement tournament played instead of the County Championship as the usual competition couldn't be completed in full due to Covid.

This season, the County Championship is back, but they've decided to keep the Bob Willis Trophy, too as an extra tournament to win. We are already County Champions. The top two in the County Championship also compete for the Bob Willis Trophy, a bit like a "Super Cup".
