To be honest, I'm disappointed.

I mean, a double's not as good as a treble, is it?

Congratulations to The Bears. Well deserved it what has been a great year.

As an Eagles fan I wouldn't want to give the Championship up to anyone else but The Bears  :'(

A bitter Lanc was on social media commenting something like, "Well, they won the toss so they won the game, big deal!"

Perhaps someone could point out to this prat that this wasn't a one-day game, but a four-innings match, allowing Lancashire the chance to recover from a disastrous start.

Second innings of the match? Warks, (by common agreement, not a great batting side) 500+.

Third innings of the match? Lancs, 200+

D'oh!!!

Anyway, combining this result with the ones last week, I believe the current score is now ManUre and Lancashire 0, Villa & the Bears 3!!

Is there a(nother) trophy for this?

The Whining Manc Cup. Shaped like a lemon and made of 24 carat excuses.

Also known as the WG Graceless Trophy.

In the last year of his Bears contract as well and it will be interesting to see if it is extended

Can't see why it wouldn't be.  If he isn't going to play for England, he'll score a lot of runs for us.

Yates and Norwell have been called up to the Lions Squad for Australia alongside Sibley.

Deserved call ups for the Warwickshire boys for the Lions squad. Forced themselves into the thoughts of England and Sibley hasn't been forgotten about completely.

Back to two division cricket next summer based on 2019 standings.
