I now feel that Konsa will be going nowhere for the time being.

Why do I feel this? Well the BBC transfer gossip page has quoted a source as saying that Konsa is "interested in a move to Arsenal".

The source? It's Caught Offside. A source that is so unreliable that whenever I see them stating something I fully expect the opposite to happen.

Good money, get it done and we can say goodbye to his pissing and moaning during every game.

Yes, let’s sell our best defender because he doesn’t smile enough.

He’s great along the floor but not the strongest at winning headers in his own box. It’s good money, if true and there are better defenders around. Good footballing central defender but not the amazing centre back people have him pencilled in as. Not a popular opinion I know.

We’d be mental to sell him this summer after losing Tielemans and Rogers and the fact that he’s a brilliant defender.

We would - it’d be insane to sell him.

There’s a reason why this opinion isn’t popular . He’s a fantastic defender and Unai obviously thinks so, as does Tuchel and Arteta . I can’t see Arsenal bidding that kind of money. Thank god as we’d be knackered if we sold him.

Keep Konsa FFS.

At what point does a refresh become the gutting of a squad that has achieved our best era in four decades?

I trust Emery but losing the spine of the team would be foolish, especially with a Champions League campaign ahead. Not ideal for blooding a whole new team.

Yes thats a brilliant plan.
Lets sell him because he's a  moaner.
Put aside the magnificent and consistent performances over the years.
Actually why don't we immediately transfer list any squad member who raises his arms above shoulder height for moany reasons?

Can't we just send him a printout of the H&V Jokes thread?

I like Konsa and I think the squad has been disrupted enough but £64m is a lot of money for him and, if you'd have asked me who to sell from the spine of the team at the end of last season he'd have been my pick if we could get ~£60m so I'm not sure on this one.

I think we have just signed his long term replacement as well but I'm not sure if we can go into the season with 4 CBs when Mings is in decline and Cisse is still an unknown. That puts a lot of pressure on Lindelof that wasn't there last season.

I'd take £60 million now. At the end of the month with no time to get a replacement, not so much.

I think you come to a point where there’s too much disruption.

Yes.

I also think we have to acknowledge that the so called 'Big Six' and their sponsors/corporate enablers have decided it just won't do that ourselves and Newcastle aspire to achieve things like win trophies and finish in the top four.

Can't help but feel as though both us and Newcastle have been picked apart this summer. Would like to see us tell Arsenal he's not for sale end of
