Why do I feel this? Well the BBC transfer gossip page has quoted a source as saying that Konsa is "interested in a move to Arsenal".

The source? It's Caught Offside. A source that is so unreliable that whenever I see them stating something I fully expect the opposite to happen.

He’s great along the floor but not the strongest at winning headers in his own box. It’s good money, if true and there are better defenders around. Good footballing central defender but not the amazing centre back people have him pencilled in as. Not a popular opinion I know.

There’s a reason why this opinion isn’t popular . He’s a fantastic defender and Unai obviously thinks so, as does Tuchel and Arteta . I can’t see Arsenal bidding that kind of money. Thank god as we’d be knackered if we sold him.

I trust Emery but losing the spine of the team would be foolish, especially with a Champions League campaign ahead. Not ideal for blooding a whole new team.

I like Konsa and I think the squad has been disrupted enough but £64m is a lot of money for him and, if you'd have asked me who to sell from the spine of the team at the end of last season he'd have been my pick if we could get ~£60m so I'm not sure on this one.

I think we have just signed his long term replacement as well but I'm not sure if we can go into the season with 4 CBs when Mings is in decline and Cisse is still an unknown. That puts a lot of pressure on Lindelof that wasn't there last season.
