Half of me is pissed off the the Athletic for posting such hearsay but the other half is quietly proud that finally other clubs want our players instead of having a team of money grabbing wankers with no sell on value

Its' good to know that we don't have to sell our better players.  You will obviously still get the players who want to leave - will be interesting to see what happens if / (probably) when that occurs.

Friedel
Young
Dunne
Collins
Warnock

I had no recollection whatsoever of Warnock winning three England caps whilst playing for us.

He got picked in the WC2010 squad somehow.

Bump, because he should always be on page one of our forum.

What a player!

Good point, cannot be overstated.

He's so smooth, I'm particularly enjoying his making out he's shielding a ball out of play, waiting for the attacker to commit, then turning the other way and striding off with the ball.

When he first joined, Dean Smith said he would play for England. At the time it sounded like quite an outlandish thing to say but the way he's improved since we came back from the first lockdown...wow! You can see what Dean meant. It's quite refreshing to have a manager who seems to have a very keen eye for talent or at least, potential. I think he said similar about Targett too and most of us were wondering last season what he saw in him but we've all come to see that this season.

I’m still in shock in respect to Targets improvement.

Targett is the highest-ranked AV defender in the fantasy football league I'm in, and is in the top ten of all Prem defenders.

He's nailed on for the England squad and likely a starting spot. Bailing Mings out all night, simply levels above him (and likes of Keane, Maguire et Al) quality wise. His rate of improvement this season has been remarkable.

His distribution was poor, but his defending first rate.

MOTM for me also.
I'd be amazed if he's not selected in the England squad.
