He's been totally pish for the best part of 2 seasons now and his limitations are there for all to see. However, he was part of the squad that turned the club around from being a load of half arsed, couldn't be bothered, last pay cheque no marks back in to professionals that cared about their performance and the club. He loved/loves the Villa and I myself feel a bit uncomfortable with some of the personal jibes about him. He might not be good enough anymore but I've a lot of respect for the job he did and the group that he helped forge that got us back stable. He is a bit crap though, yes.

All of this.

Yes.

Also agree.
I have ( albeit dwindling) hope that the new manager, and his coaches , improve him and realise he’s better further up than where he’s playing.

Do I think it will happen ? No
Would I like it to happen? Hell yeah

So still people say he should be moved on, despite ranking 1st in the division in various stats last season. So far we've only played 14 games this under three managers. The first of which is the worst we've had in decades.

Take him out of the squad, give the new manager time with him but don't sell now, it's a waste. There are others to get rid of before McGinn.

Care to share the stats?

I have three times on this thread already
Search stats Drummond and they'll appear fairly high in the results.

He had good stats in various areas last season. He's not a bad player, he's just woefully out of form. Why not give the new coaching team some time?

I guess there's always someone we have to moan about though.

Today at Brighton had so far demonstrated good energy to enter the danger zone. In fact, he was the player who was fouled for the penalty and who could have scored with a tap-in.
So far, using him as the runner and playing to his strengths has worked out well.
Excellent work, carry on till your subbed.

I thought he did well today.  Did the dirty things well and covered a lot of ground for us.  It always good to see opposition fans giving our players stick, when that happens, we know our lads are doing their job.  Credit where it's due, JM was much better today.

Great run to win the penalty and worked very hard throughout.

I like MgGinn playing on the right and coming inside. Seems to suit him.

He gets a tad bit of abuse on here so it's only fair when he has a good game to call it.. It looked more like the McGinn of old and he used his arse to good effect.

Far from faultless but a lot better today, added to our stability
