Feel a bit for Mings, but I remember saying on here around the time he first got the captaincy that I thought it might hinder his game slightly. Club Captain would have been a better call instead of Young.

Apologies in advance for my ignorance, but what does the Club Captain role filled by Young do exactly?

It would would have probably been seen as a bit of a token effort to give him that after taking the captaincy off him, like being made hall monitor after being head boy.
Surprised by this, as i dont know if SJM will even be a regular starter, unless Gerrard has a new formation up his sleeve that works.

Absolutely baffled by this decision? Was expecting him to be a substitute next season to be honest.....VERY worrying

I really think this is a terrible decision and could have team repercussions as it firmly endorses his role as being undroppable
