Is it a coincidence for McGinn to do his hamstring? When he must have been suffering fatigue. Rest and recuperation is what's needed for him.

They'd just had a month off for the World Cup. Please do stop making stuff up, it makes you look very stupid.

Christ al-fucking-mighty, I'm not the biggest fan of McGinn the player, but that's utterly ridiculous. Where players go in their time off is completely their business, and there are loads of reasons to go to Ireland other than to 'party'. By bored, he means bored of not playing, that much was very obvious. Do you want a professional footballer to be happy that they're sat round watching rather than playing? There are many reasons McGinn might start to get less playing time, but getting a flight to Dublin isn't one of them....

Dublin is renowned for its vibrant nightlife and atmosphere. Thats known. Anyway had my say will leave it be but I'm suitability unimpressed and disappointed if there isn't a good reason.

Pretty cold out too, hope John won't be exposing his hamstrings to the elements on this trip.

Honestly do you read what you’ve written a second time before hitting post? You do realize he is surrounded by health professionals. And he’s a grown man. I think he can make some pretty informed decisions without your expertise on his need for rest and recuperation.

Is there a link to McGinns interview before the Leeds game?

Dublin is mostly about the drinking, and be careful using the Luas at night centrally, plenty of ne'er-do-wells about.

Fatigue? He's just has several weeks off for the world cup. Players get injured regardless of alleged "lifestyle" issues, of which you have no proof.

In season players should maintain a high standard and respect their professionalism. Being elite professional you have to be very focused and Nutrition fitness and conditioning is essential. I always respecting likes of Milner Rice and Ronaldo for they not only are maintaining a balanced diet but they are not drinking alcohol on not on religious grounds.

I can confirm that John (man of the people) McGinn was on Ryanair flight 5291 to Dublin this afternoon. As I was boarding I spotted a guy wearing a light blue 'Represent' hoodie but didn't clock it was him till the Villa fan behind me tapped me on the shoulder and told me. I'm no Eastie. :(

Did you go over and have a chat? You don't strike me as the shy and retiring type...

I'm not but I don't go up to celebrities as I'm sure they get pestered enough. The only one I've spoken to was Ronnie Wood and that's only because he was standing beside me at LHR T1.

One of the Villa fans got a picture with SJM in WH Smith's and said he was sound. No one heeded him or his lady friend on the plane even though there 40-50 Villa fans on board.

I may be mistaken but pretty sure when I passed he was booking tickets for the The Book of Kells tour and had a brochure for the Hugh Lane gallery in his lap. It should also be remembered that "Guinness is good for you' as long as you don't overdo it.

There is more to Dublin than drinking

Indeed, there are leprechauns, shamrock, Guinness... horses running through council estates... toothless simpletons... people with eyebrows on their cheeks... badly tarmacked drives, in this country... uh, men in platform shoes being arrested for bombings... lots of rocks, and, uh, Beamish.

Please leave me out of this.

No need to, he's just taking another break from the site.

You’d think Dublin was the Vegas strip from the sounds of it. McGinn will be pulling birds and hamstrings up and down Grafton Street.

So, womanising too, it's a disgrace.
