We should be much more concerned that we couldn't complete a deal that in today's money isn't a lot for good footballer, who is still quite young who would have improved us. That's a major issue as we try to secure CL football and other silverware.

It’s because he wanted to go to Spurs. He’s turned us down before. Knobhead. Doesn’t deserve his own thread. Now we look like cucks.

We don't look like anything. Tomorrow we will still be Aston Villa, in 3rd place in the league, headed into the 4th Rd of the FA Cup and knockout stages of the Europa. They will still be Tottenham throwing money at the problem with utterly shit fans and manager.

I know. I was just joking really. About you ruining everything. Again.

But I do strongly feel there’s no need to start a thread based on Townley saying we’re signing someone.

we have always started independent threads when there has been enough reason to do so. This was no exception. Starting a thread or not starting one has zero impact on the eventual outcome.

Anyone who believes in jinxes needs to look in the mirror. No such thing. Shit happens especially in football, with players and agents. Very reputable sources suggested he was coming to us and then something happened at the 11th hour. We don't know if it was us pulling out, the player changing his mind when Tottenham came in for him or something else.
You need to start pulling out of Townley. You can't resist those blondes.

🚨💣 Conor Gallagher to Tottenham, here we go! The player has just informed Atléti about his decision to join #THFC.

Thanks a bunch, TV!

Fuck him. Didn't want him anyway

Learn your lesson this time.

Please do TV.  There’s no kudos for starting the thread.  Just makes us look daft and clogs up the board.

good grief. Do you think that's why I did it?

Whatever happened to ITSOTP?

Shit happens when you get involved!

He's in denial at the moment. No such thing as coincidence. Like a curse.

Not a serious footballer, he'll spend his time playing darts with Maddison.

I am really not disappointed by this, never rated him. Looking at the reactions of Athletico, fans seems we won't be missing much.

He looked like a guy who went out with Holly Valance in Neighbours. Do we need characters like him at our club?

I really don't know why we can't just leave transfer speculation in the thread we have dedicated to transfer speculation. Start a new thread when someone actually signs, not just following a vague mention on racistpaedos.com.
