Loads of players make moves so as they play more games. Better a player does that rather than move purely for money while not giving a cack if they play or not imo.

Emery always talks about things like commitment, dedication, focus. And you want players with ambition. It’s a certain type of player that will accept what’s needed to play at top clubs under top coaches. It’s not for everyone. No room for slackers with us. If Spurs is the easier way out and that’s the attitude play there. We need more than that.

Would rather play more at a mid table club than have a chance at working for the best coach in the world in a side where he could win the league.  What evs, enjoy toiling under a doomed manager for a few months.

Although some are saying they understand if Malen wants to leave to play more games. I doubt anyone wants to be on a bench most of the time this close to the World Cup.

To be fair, while I think he’s a good player, I don’t see him as much of an upgrade on our current options. Also I don’t see midfield as a priority for us to spend on right now.

He's obviously picked Spurs because their team is shit, and he knows he'll be playing every match with much less competition. They probably offered him more money, too.

Not very ambitious of the lad, but there you go.

If everyone is fit he doesn't get into our best 11 at present. And on the flipside if we had a player we didn't like that was happy to be on the bench then more often than not he'd be called lazy and unambitious.

Shame, I thought he would have been a good fit for us.

Can it be moved to "Other Football" now, please?
