Had a look at the Bayern fans forum to see what they think of the draw.

So we're playing at home to PSG, away to Barcelona, at home to Benfica, away to Shakhtar, home to Dinamo Zagreb, away to Feyenoord, home to Bratislava and away to Aston Villa.

aston villa/>??>?>?>>?
it totally escaped my mind that these little bastards qualified for it!

Interesting.  The so called elite are all going to under estimate us

What do the Bolognese think of us?

I went on a boat trip in Tenerife and there was a chap there in a Celtic top. He seemed a polite and well-mannered young man.

My cousin has lived his whole life in Brum and is a Celtic season ticket holder. He provides wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals, and is also a polite and well-mannered man.

He can be polite and well-mannered all he likes. If he lives in Brum, why the feck isn't he Villa?

In my experience they'll be too busy eating chunks of parmesan like an apple.

They probably think they'll make mincemeat of us

A few years ago, during the dark days of the first season after relegation, I was telling a much younger (20s) Villa fan about when Juve and Barca came to VP and we were the Kings of Europe. Probably bored him to death, but I remember saying that it was hard to see that ever happening again. And back then, mid table in the Championship , with Steve Bruce at the helm, it definitely was.

But now that time has come again. And for you much younger Villa fans, who haven't seen this before, this is YOUR time. Believe we can compete with these teams, believe we can beat them - in Unai we have a manager who gives us that belief.

The Old Lady of Villa Park is awakening once more, ready to generate that special European Cup  atmosphere. The ghosts of forty, fifty years and more are stirring on the Holte, in the Trinity, the North and the Witton Lane , ready to make themselves heard when Bayern, Juve and the rest come to town. Join them and make the bloody roof come off !

Hail Emery of the Villa, and Bring It ON !

And a nod to Dean Smith, who got us out of the mire and made this possible.

I would say that was more down to Jack Grealish.

Outside of the owners and Unai, Smith is the main one that helped get us to where we are now.

You think it was Smith, I think it was Grealish. Your view is likely to prove more popular on here. :)

Our key players last season were Smith signings. Martinez, Watkins, Bailey, Konsa, Luiz, Cash. Plus all the players he signed that got us promoted and then kept us up. What Grealish did was nowhere near as key. And I don't hate Jack so aren't really saying it through any malice towards Jack.
