The biggest issue we will have is in conference we couls occasionally play squad players.  And save our better ones for the league games. You cant do that in CL as the teams are far superior.

Thats why you need a big squad with quality . My prediction is thats where we may fall down.

What should we have done to avoid falling down?

Id have probably done a unpopular decision and sold youri instead of luiz

And not signed enzo and illing jr if we cant use them this year.

Also not spent 10m on dobbin
The Luiz deal was because of the PSR deadline.

I'm going on the basis that UE clearly thinks we have a strong enough squad to cope with these three out on loan, and has calculated that it is better for the club to let Albion et al nursery these younger players for season

Where/when have Celtic fans caused trouble outside Scotland?
The problem for WMP will be what to do with several thousand ticketless fans, many of whom will be over the drink drive limit. I'd be very surprised if there is any bother between the fans. It's the first time we've played them in a competitive fixture and hopefully will be a night to remember.
Yeah I don't expect trouble as such , they'll just come and drink the city / Digbeth dry . Hopefully no sectarian/ Palestinian stuff. I think they'll be on good form actually.
The problems might come from our blue neighbours who seem to have become pally with their blue neighbours.
There's not many places near the ground to accommodate 5-10,000 ticketless fans . I'm sure the city centre / Digbeth bars will appreciate the extra trade
The Scots see any away game in England as a rite of passage kind of thing. I expect 10,000 easily will travel down, ticket or not. It could be an interesting day/night for people who live within a mile of the ground !!

True , they'll hit the off licenses hard in and around the ground and sit in Aston Hall Park etc

If they hear about the state of our stadium toilets it'll just encourage them to use people's front gardens to relieve themselves...I think that was an issue when Rangers came down in the 70s

Which means they are not allowed to drink in town and on their manor

On the other hand he was talking about still trying to get a couple of players in, so he clearly thinks we need them.

Yeah, the evidence seems to be pointing far more to us not being able to bring in the players we wanted to and having to loan/sell others to meet the rules than it does to Emery just thinking "ah fuck it, we can always play with eight men, who cares?"

pissing in gardens was the least of the worries in that encounter

Talking to a Celtic fan today, he seemed very confident of beating us.
Then i asked him did he remember the last time Celtic played against an Unai Emery team in the CL?
It was 2017, PSG beat them 5-0 in Glasgow and 7-1 in Paris, he went a bit quiet after that.

Very good draw.  No Baltic hooligans
I didn’t know the Faroese felt so strongly about their Scandinavian cousins!
Doh! :) sorry - meant to say Balkan - We just had Hajdu Split visiting here and a horrible bunch
