Trai Hume being linked with us on Twitter ... so, probably nothing in it.

Mmm young RB with potential, probably cheap, I can see this happening

I hope this isn't Unai's MON moment, collecting right backs.

Well at least he won't be playing them at fucking left back.

Years ago we couldn’t get a LB for love nor money, now we have 4

I should have said unlike England

Was thinking that, in recent years some of the very worst players I've ever seen have inhabited that spot for us. Cissokho being a particular low point.

Will we keep him around or is this just to protect his value

We need four players who are club developed for our 25 man Champions League squad and Ramsey is really the only one who could be described as a first team player that we have.

KKH is probably worth signing up and keeping around just so that there is someone who's played first-team football before, before we start padding those four names with youth team players.

KKH has just signed a new contract, so will probably be one if he isn't sent on loan again. Him and Ramsey in the 25 man squad, then we either pad it with two players from the likes of Chrisene, Young or O'Reilly, or we just name a 23 man squad.

Don't be surprised if we're linked again with João Felix. If Benfica can think he's attainable, no doubt Monchi thinks the same. Strange one, brilliant player but has completely lost his way. Too much too young.

Presumably we'd also then have no interest in signing Saka, Foden, Kane, Rice etc.

I don't think the last four England matches are really the best thing to judge players on.

I agree with Dave.
I don’t. Regardless of last few England matches Gallagher is a donkey and we know he is……. so there😊

On the Sunderland forum they seem to think he dives in too much, makes the odd bad decision because of his age, but likes a crunching tackle and could be very good with the right coaching. Rumours of our interest don't seem to have reached there yet.

Everyone frothing at the mouth about Cash most games will love him.....

He's a highly rated young player. However we've signed the Serb lad who I think we might see in the league cup and a few minutes off the bench here and there and Konsa will still play a decent amount at RB so not really a priority position until next summer perhaps.

I hope not on the Konsa front.  I don't want to see him moved from CB too often next season, if at all.

We have 3, only one of whom has any real first team experience…that’s not so much a collection as a school

If we're still talking about RB then Cash, Konsa and Nedeljikovic is fine up to January and possibly beyond.

I would be very happy to never see Konsa play RB ever again. It’s a sad waste of his talent.

Whenever anyone mentions it, I'm waiting for Percy to come in two-footed!

There will be games next season where we will need a better centre-half pairing than Konsa & Pau, as they’re useless at defending set pieces, and we won’t be dropping Pau.

There will be games next season where we will be up against left-wingers like Doku, Trossard, Gakpo & Martinelli, maybe even Vinny Jnr, where we will need the best 1v1 defender in the league (or the world according to my FIFA-mad babby) to stop them. That’s not Matty Cash in case you were wonndeing, or indeed blind,

New, good in the air centre-half, Konsa on the right of a back three against the best teams please. Like he was against Man City & Arsenal last season.

It’s just so ridiculous to ‘never want to see him play there again’ after he played there in BY FAR our best two performances of the season, and absolutely pocketed Vini Jr for England.

Yeah, NEVER AGAIN!
