The BBC mention he is a bit of a Jonah at the moment as he played at Port Vale on loan and then started playing in the first team after xmas. Both clubs have been relegated.

Various sources in Spain this morning saying we're on the verge of agreeing a deal with Mario Hermoso, CB from Atletico, who's contract expires in the summer.

I don't think the Rogers signing was that much of a surprise with the problems we were having with Ramsey.

I don't recall anyone mentioning Rogers as a possible acquisition before the deal was announced; is why I described it as a surprise. Buying a left-sided player to cover for Ramsey was no surprise at all.

I wonder if we signed someone like Hermoso it might end the career of Tyrone Mings with us. He would be a brilliant leader at his former club Ipswich now that they’ve come back up.

Looks like a typical Emery signing, Excellent on the ball and decent going forward.
He can play CB and LB and had played for a great defensive coach for 5 years in Diego Simeone.

I believe it would be on a free as well so its pretty much a no brainer.
