Certain players with saleable value will need to depart. I hope Mings retires a Villa player but there might a player or two that get sold who we don’t want.

Like Ramsey/Buendia though, I think suitors might be wary of buying Mings due to the time he's been out and their valuation would probably reflect that and fall short of ours but I would hope that we don't consider it anyway.

Lenglet will go back this summer, and after that I'd hope we consider selling Carlos ahead of any other central-defender. Mings' experience and leadership is sorely missed. Ease him in gently, and have an upgrade for Carlos, would be my preference.

Let's see what happens at the next Premier League owners meeting. I suspect there will be a modification to FFP with it being it's last year and it's replacement being a lot less restrictive.

Even without it, I assume we'd be ok to spend £30m because we would have had to cover the contingency that Zaniolo had come in and lit the world on fire and triggered his clause.

Kamara's not even going to be available until December and then will take a while to get back up to speed so hopefully we've identified our number one target already and will start bidding as soon as the season finishes.
