Been linked with Reece James now!

He's had a few injury issues but my god he's a proper player that would significantly upgrade our options.

In the same way that Trump has had a few legal issues...

Reece James is a brilliant player, but yes the injuries.

Wasn't he red carded twice this season, despite missing most of it through injury?

Decent comedian, but Ivo Graham's better :)

Roma looking for potential suitors for Tammy Abraham: the striker is not part of the club’s project

How long before we see Villa links?
Not sure I would have him back as his hold up play is not good

Says he was close to joining us before his ACL, which was my suspicion. He would be a project for our coaching staff to work on but you would think we could get him for a good price.

How good could he be given some time under Emerys tutelage?

You’d think that someone will pick him up quite cheap as they wouldn’t want to carry his wages if he’s not playing.

We were linked last summer, and some on here were in favour of it, but there was still a fair bit of uncertainty around Ollie then. Most of us probably didn't expect him to have the season he had.

Tammy isn't good enough.

Reece James is a brilliant player, but yes the injuries.

Imagine how those injuries would scale up moving to somewhere like us, where we specialise in injury hell situations.

He'd have at least 2 limbs amputated before christmas.

Reece James is a brilliant player, and Tami is a very good one.  But we already have three important first-team players looking to get back to their best after ACL injuries.  We really don't need to make that 4 and another with recurring hamstring issues.

If they were both fit, and had played all of last season then I'd be much happier with the links!

Tammy isn't good enough.

The year after his loan with us he scored 18 goals for Chelsea as they finished 4th, with Lampard as boss.  He's about 1 in 3 while in Italy.  I think he's good enough for our squad, but I don't think he's good enough to oust Ollie as first choice.

If he comes back to England, he'll score goals for whoever he plays for.  It wouldn't surprise me to see him go to Newcastle after Isak goes to Arsenal.

One thing we definitely need to improve next season is the loan players…presuming we will go for two again we need to get to the end of the season desperate to buy them not like Zaniolo / Lenglet who you wish well but don’t want see in a Villa shirt again

I think Tammy would make a very good 2nd striker. Whoever comes in will know they are second to Ollie. He’d be someone of good enough quality to play at PL and CL level. I’d then sell Duran for £50-£60m and keep Archer as the third option.
