He is a class footballer,  but he is also overrated. The two comments can be true at the same time.

Foden is excellent for ManC, he isn't the first, and won't be the last, to rarely replicate club form for his country.

He is a class footballer,  but he is also overrated. The two comments can be true at the same time.

They can, but the reality is definitely more the former than the latter.

He's one of the best players for one of the best teams in the league and has been since he was twenty years old. And now, in his mid-twenties he'd probably start for any club side in the world.

If someone says that he's the best player in the world, sure, that would be "over-rating" him. So the "two comments can be true" thing is correct, but I don't think anyone has elevated him to that sort of level.

Foden is a tough one because he's exceptional for Man City but really poor for England and I suspect if he went anywhere else it'd be his England form not his Man City form that he'd take with him. I don't know if that makes him overrated or not though.
