And the Villarreal player who was on loan at Spurs last year, Unai seemed to pick him regularly and Spurs seemingly dont want him permanently. No noise about us wanting him either.

I'm surprised we're not being strongly linked with Samuel Chukwueze. Reports claiming Milan are offering €20m and have already agreed personal terms.

According to something I heard on some podcast or other, the Villareal fans were pleased that after Unai left, the new bloke started playing him in his correct position. What that change was I can’t recall. A bit like us re: Gerrard and SJM I suppose.

Yes, a terrible racket.
I can't believe that people accept the rubbish that's served up to them sometimes.

I love tennis but Wimbledon Twee as a genre is as reliable an emetic as is known to medical science. Always much preferred the Roland Garros vibe, in the same way that Pimms is loathsome and Ricard is the apex of civilisation. Which always made it awkward for me as I've always been more of the Federer than Nadal persuasion, but you can't have everything.

I love tennis but one thing that really pisses me off every year is how the BBC wheel out that no mark Henman as though he's the world's greatest authority. The bloke never even got to the final of a grand slam let alone actually win one. But he's there today in his Wimbledon member's clobber holding court. No pun intended. Sums up everything about British plucky loser tennis.

With the very notable exception of Andy Murray the Brits have been rubbish for years.

We showed no interest in Danjuma in January when he was rumoured to be going to Everton for ages. Then he hardly figured for Spurs. Don't think Emery's interested.

Interesting. Still, he only has 12 months left on his contract.
No news on what we thought back in January was a done summer deal, Unai's favourite son, Mattéo Guendouzi.

Chiesa still hasn't moved anywhere, need to invite him on a luxury canal boat tour to turn his head

I think I read his agent will be in the UK this week.

Pau Torres is having his medical this week, it's all done he's just been getting married.

We've therefore signed two high class internationals already.

That personal conversation with Emery was him telling Torres to get the wife locked in before he brings her to Birmingham. That's why the medical was pushed to this week. He really emphasised the "for better or worse" part of his vows.

I like our business so far. You could make the argument both could or even will be starting options when the season begins. That’s how we have to do it going forward. Bring in top international players to improve our first XI and have the current crop challenge for those positions or drop to the bench. The bench needs to be far better and deeper. Emery and Monchi will know that and do that.

Fred Perry is dead unfortunately.

He should have done the medical before the honeymoon surely, he'll be knackered after it.
