I really hate it when it's quiet like this, the inter-season no man's land is hell for obsessive types like me.

Sad as it is to think, I spend so much of my year on Villa that taking it away for a few weeks leaves a stupid hole of nothingness. That's why I reappear on here to annoy all of you, it keeps me sane.  ;D

It's much better than the time we sat around refreshing every 5 minutes to see if Joe was leaving or staying

Whilst analysing his and Deano's body language at the private club in West London.

100% I was thinking about that today - that was horrid, I did no work for 2 days.  My low was watching a video of Mings over and over again and trying to convince myself he asked Deano "his staying?" and Deano said "Yea".

On my deathbed, that's the time ill want back - those 2 days.

Why would Dogheads sell Collins to Brentford? Are they that desperate?

If reports are to be believed I’d say yes.

I’ve heard they have to sell and make a fair bit of money before they can buy.

Because they didn’t think it would be right of them to stand in the way of him joining a bigger club.

Chiesa still hasn't moved anywhere, need to invite him on a luxury canal boat tour to turn his head

How would he feel if we blasted out Duran Duran from the speakers (it wouldn't have to be Rio)?

I was out having a drink and meal with the wife and kids on Saturday, canalside in Brum. Having a pre meal pint sitting outside the Tap & Spile, i noticed a couple of punters ordering a couple of huge fry ups at what was about 6pm. Surely the promise of this would get Chiesa over the line??

Is Mr Egg still open? That would seal it surely? Failing that, one of those Mr Sizzle burger vans.

Might not tempt him but he'd at least understand, having watched Brits over the years drinking cappuccinos at 6pm and later.

I see that Joao Cancello was on loan from Man City in Germany but has come back after half a season.  He hasn't been linked to us but wondered if he's any good and a player we might show interest in further down the line?  Plays out wide.

Seems like the sort of player that would massively impact squad harmony. No thanks.

Well if the reports of why guardiola was happy to let him go with no replacements brought in, yes. Got arsey when he wasn't picked for a game and ended up having a bust up with a couple of the other players (along with guardiola i think). Fuck that.

Just 40 days to go and all we've announced is a free transfer.

I'm getting impatient, irritated and frustrated.

I just want exciting news.

Pau Torres is having his medical this week, it's all done he's just been getting married.

We've therefore signed two high class internationals already.

I know but I want more Risso!
