Busquets will go to Saudi for insane money for a year.

Asensio and Torres right and left, wouldn’t be too shabby would it?

Don't see us playing with a left sided attacking player for the foreseeable, as I think Moreno being given the space to attack down that flank is an important part of our game plan.

I think we will certainly be in the market for a right sided attacking player though.

Age doesn’t really come into it if he’s not performing though. We need consistency so need to buy somebody who can deliver that. Ramsey can then make sure he plays well when called upon.

Consistency usually comes with age and experience, and Ramsey is getting there but has a way to go.

Agreed. I love him as a player but we need an alternative in his position for when it's not going so well for him, like currently.

Like most of this season. I've always thought Gerrard brought him back too soon and allowed him to play his way to fitness. He's still not pulling up trees though I do think the experience will lead to him having a great season in 23/24. The talent is there.

even when he isn't playing well his ability to drive forward with the ball creates a chaos. Where he needs to improve is in the quick simple passes to keep the ball moving and he really should be getting more shots away. When he does shoot he's a good finisher and generates some serious power so we need to work with him on that late break into the box and 1-touch shot.

Still there's every chance he'll end the season in double figures for goals and assists (he has 9 from 32 so far) and I'll take that given it is his second season and that is often a step backwards for young players.

Completely agree Paul. At his best Ramsey is a superb ball carrier but against Man. United he held onto it far too long at times and Casemiro comfortably disrupted him 2-3 times in the first half alone.

Then in second half on Saturday the same thing happened again when we had a decent break and he should've played a quick give and go and instead tries to dribble round Lemina but just loses it too easily.

Ramsey's had that traditional difficult second season for majority of young players when teams wise up and actually come up with a gameplan to nullify his game.

That said even though he hasn't been that influential generally in the games 4 goals still hints that in a better season he can be pushing onto double figures when more confident as he did in 21/22.

He's still 21 and has nearly 100 prem appearances so tremendous raw materials in place and he'll get a boost if his brother is involved in our squads next season aswell.

Can see his development following Luiz who's had similar trajectory here.

Technically not amazing but he did get 10 goals in Palace side that played quick transitions. That's the output we want from Bailey or Buendia.

Will be overpriced compared to european options as usual so we won't be signing him.

Yeah, just throw in Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray for the craic...

FFS, we'll soon have someone in charge who Barca cant afford to keep. We're buying the best that Iberia has to offer this summer.

Longer term I could see us trying to mirror our asymmetrical system though, so we'd have a more attacking fullback on the right and a defensive one and a winger in the left. Then you'd target the opposition's weaker side, and it wouldn't matter if they tried to counter it cos with 3 subs (both fullbacks and the winger) you could completely switch it over to target the other side anyway.

Maybe. I don't really know what I'm talking about here.

Every time seen him play this season he just charges round barging into people…don’t know if he actually played some football at Palace or was the same but just a highlights player who you only saw scoring on MotD….Palace are the type of team I only ever have any interest in watching twice a season.

Gallagher looks a decent player to me but not superior or different to what we already have, plus you’d be paying a big premium with him being English. Not for me

When I watched him first at the Albion, where he was the only decent player they had, and then at Palace, he looked a really good player. Every time I've seen him for Chelsea and England he looks like a competition winner.

Last summer I'd have been well happy had we signed him and this year I'd be gutted. He'd probably turn a world beater under Emery though.

Chelsea have managed to ruin just about every player they have though, so don't think you can put too much weight on that.

I wonder how it impacts players, especially the younger ones, at Chelsea, their insane squad situation - dressing room not big enough, people sat outside, mental numbers of midfielders, new manager every other week, club managed by a proper nutter.

I wonder what Chukwuemeka thinks*

Yeah, there's definitely some value to be had from them this summer, though you need to tread carefully as some players may be broken beyond redemption. Some of those lads have had to endure two spells of Lampard's management and in Mount's case, three.
