He’ll lose more value sitting on our bench, so it’s better if he’s playing somewhere. He cost £13 million two seasons ago, so I think his transfer fee will be modest either way.

Good player but 3rd choice left back now so the exit is inevitable

I'd imagine they'll pay a small loan fee and cover all his wages so a decent move for all involved.

Yeah, best of luck to him, and I hope the Forest players aren't easily scared.

I hope he does well, him and Ramsey were a joy to watch for a while and he seems a really decent fell. Good luck to him.

Really important player in our late season run in 22/23. Outstanding until his injury. Popped up with a couple of crucial goals last season too.

I'll be sorry to see him go. Even last season he popped-up with a great finish from a corner in a European game in his first game back.
Assisted the winner in that bad-tempered game at Brentford too.

And now that JJ is back fit, maybe they could have resumed their previous relationship down the left.

He's worth more than a loan move for a nominal fee.

We've sold full backs to Forest before , Eric Lichaj springs to mind and Ricardo Scimecha though he was more CB playing FB like Konsa does .

When is Digne’s contract up?  Is this his final season?

Could be that this deal allows Moreno returns as back up next season, whilst saving wages in the meantime.

Moreno has signed for Forest on loan with medical books tomorrow from Romano
For someone who was supposidly homesick, this is a strange move

Still 2 years to go. Right now, Lucas is ahead of Alex in the pecking order on merit. Whether that will still be the same in a year, who knows.  But they're both 31, so it makes sense to reduce the average age in that position. I'd be surprised if either of them are in our squad this time next year.

I really thought he wanted to go back to Spain, so this seems strange, maybe we've forced his hand a bit without a firm offer coming in from Spain, and he's at least gone somewhere where he won't have to move home?

We had three left backs in the squad which is obviously too many so one had to go. It clearly wasn’t going to be the new signing and Digne is the better defender so it seems the sensible choice to me.

I've always wondered how the conversations go in scenarios like this, especially when the boss is somebody as nice as Emery. Two years ago Moreno was Unai's first signing, and now he can't get in the squad and is off to Forest.

I'd find it really jarring to hear Emery swear too, but I suspect he's incredibly ruthless.
