I have O and A Level Economics, I still don't have a clue about Villa's wage bill, or FFP but I could explain why people still attempt to obtain mythical expensive 'pints of beer' at half-time in the Trinity concourse even though it is nigh on impossible to obtain one.

My A levels were in Politics, History and Economics.

I feel uniquely qualified to explain wage bills, but also both the politics and history behind them.

Politics, Geography and Economics (plus General Studies) for me. So wage bills and where the new ground should be, and a load of completely random shit.

Any serious study in Economics is like going to an all you eat buffet restaurant. It looks good and you’re excited about offerings and curious about creating your own special combi but ultimately it’s disappointing. Getting a degree in economics is just a no better than BA Business Studied.

I have a couple of A'Levels in colouring in.

I quit English because the tutor caught me wrong on a bad day & I quit general studies because it was shit.

Maybe thats why I can barely communicate unless I draw stick figures in crayons...

My economics degree has seen me right. I mean, I’ve never actually used any of it, but employers in the past seemed to value it for some reason.

Yes, it should be pointed out that in Ireland, you tended to do 7 subjects of which Maths, English and Irish were compulsory. And of your four optionals, you needed a further language to get into university. Not sure if all that has changed now.

Yes, it should be pointed out that in Ireland, you tended to do 7 subjects of which Maths, English and Irish were compulsory. And of your four optionals, you needed a further language to get into university. Not sure if all that has changed now.

Sounds a bit like the International Baccalaureat which more schools are doing over here now as an alternative to A Levels.
