I might get some pelters here. But I was reading an interview with Scaloni about the game squeezing out creativity through over analysis.

This is what he said:

We are losing the essence of football. Not only at a professional level, but also with kids."

"My children play in Spain and are overwhelmed with information. They receive the ball, and they're already being told what to do."

Quote
“There are fewer dribblers because if they barely get the ball and you say, 'Pass it!'... Imagine if Messi, when he was eight years old, had been constantly told by his coaches to "Pass it!" We wouldn't have him today."

"Football has become such a huge thing, everyone reads, studies, and thinks that with that, they can already manage."

"If you tell a 7 or 8-year-old to make a diagonal run, cover defensively... He's seven years old! Let him play with the ball, make mistakes, and when he's 14 or 15, then we can start correcting."

"It's a message for the future. This is a sport, and the beauty of football should not be lost."

I realize that we are where are because of the intense analysis Emery puts into our game. And we absolutely needed it post Lego head. But does it also stifle our play where we become too rigid, structured and predictable at times. I find that we are very dedicated to “the plan” and Emery references that a lot. But does the plan allow for creativity as much as it could. I might be overthinking it but with two games without scoring and not a lot of shots I feel we are seeing our players not as free as they have been in previous games.

I never thought you'd settle for leaving Villa Park, Percy. Say it ain't so.

I meant ‘we move’ the way trendy fuckers say it. Ideally I think the location could be perfect for a complete rebuild.

I've come to the same conclusion, must be the benefit of the economics o-level (or GCSE equivalent in my case)

And me (business studies A-Level).

Paul says “not worth the effort” before carrying on #10,345!

Given how your treating the comments from Heck it's not a surprise that your basic lack of comprehension is on display again, I still won't fuck you though, no matter how long you keep the stalking up.

#maaate

Don't bother, vile comment from clearly a loathsome individual. Imagine being a grown man and actually typing something like out, and then posting it.

Then put me on ignore, you rarely reply with anything but snide anyway so I'm sure I'll cope if you don't see anything I post.

The only level I got from school was a spirit level. 😞

I've got one of them too, and GCSE was harder. And about 100 x more interesting.

6th favourite to be the next Barcelona manager. Slightly concerning.

It wasn't available for me at GSCE level but I can confirm the A-Level was fucking boring.

I only ended up doing Business Studies as I was the only one that chose Economics so they binned it and didn't tell me till it was too late to go elsewhere.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the strategy is to keep demand high by restricting supply; as all of us who have economics O levels know this increases prices. At the same time bigger sponsorship deals can still be done which won’t cost £100m or reduce capacity for two years and will dwarf the effect of 10,000 extra seats. Front of shirt, stadium naming rights, etc.

If and when that’s all sorted, we move.

It’s worth bearing in mind that according to the rule of thumb for valuing football clubs (5 x revenue) we are now worth a billion quid, How much did NSWE pay and how much invested since? Just over half that I think? And they’ve sold a chunk recently, they’ll be delighted with their investment so far and will keep investing IMO.

Does the lack of expansion impact our position as Euro 28 venue ? A cursory glance shows that all other English venues are >50k and now we won't be. Also not sure what VP capacity the bid was based on.
(I don't have O-level economics).

There might be something in it. Now that everybody has learned exactly how we play it does feel like we need more creativity but it feels like we're seeing less. Of course, that could be less down to the plan and more to us simply being a bit tired and stretched.

I have O and A Level Economics, I still don't have a clue about Villa's wage bill, or FFP but I could explain why people still attempt to obtain mythical expensive 'pints of beer' at half-time in the Trinity concourse even though it is nigh on impossible to obtain one.

More chance of this than Liverpool I suspect.  Weird one as arguably Barcelona are financially screwed but they are still Barcelona.

My A levels were in Politics, History and Economics.

I feel uniquely qualified to explain wage bills, but also both the politics and history behind them.

English, History and Politics for me, so I can explain in clear detail why we're fucked.
