Do we suddenly have to be kind to them because they're down on their luck, is that what's happening? I thought it was universally acknowledged that their crest is an absolute puddle of arse gravy?

No. It's just my opinion mate. Same time I said they had better training wear cos they have Nike not Castore.

That should be sorted next season though.  8)

I know I know, I was only kidding, mate. I just can't believe anyone would think their crest is any good! I've always thought it was one of the most ugly, nondescript crests in the professional game.

To be fair to them, I can't think of many badges that look like theirs, not off the top of my head. I mean there might be a reason for that, but it feels unique to me. Maybe my knowledge of football badges is just piss poor. I don't like it, mind.

True, but I can't think of too many other people who look like the Elephant Man.

Could be worse, I guess.

Its the worst one we've ever had.

The Blues crest is great BTW. Unique, well designed and recognisable.

I have great fun pretending to be enthusiastic about it, and asking them if they know the meaning behind it. I then explain it to them thus:

Point at world - “world’s worst”,

Point at football - “football club”

Point at 1875 - “and that’s the average attendance”.

I have ample opportunity to go through this with them here in Chelmsley Wood.

It looks like tattered ball sack, and the globe jars with the fact their old of the most ridiculously insular and parochial fan bases imaginable.

Yeah its fucking dire. Golden pair of bollocks often sported by Villa hating neanderthals, although they're quite hard to spot in the wild given that there's not many of them.

I have a better appreciation for DW view now when somebody says something mildly reasonable about Sandwell following a barrage of kindness (2 posts) being nice to Small Heath.

What’s next? That the throstle is lovely bird or that badges with elephants on them are sound? Smirks has had a ‘mare here.

It's a mix of the sun and delirium from laughing at the blues I suspect, it got to Eamonn as well.

Love it.

Maybe we could base our new one on it.

I've always liked the reason why Dumbarton have one on theirs.

A blank crest is certainly a different way to go

It’s a tribute to our 21st century trophy cabinet.
