The tackle on Bouba was Ben Mee-esque. Palinha knew exactly what he was doing and hopefully he gets his just deserts when we meet again.

Yes his next trip to VP needs to be a hostile one with appropriate dogs abuse

I have the perfect song for him. It only uses four words so should be easy to learn. It will most certainly piss him off.

I'm not understanding this.  The swelling would be under control enough by now for them to have done the MRI and know exactly what is up.  We aren't hearing the full story here.

Gutted. Kamara is our best player and absolutely irreplaceable in our system. It was a huge mistake risking him against Spurs, there was a golden opportunity to rest him for once and give Bogarde some much needed experience. And guess what, we did win without Bouba which illustrates the point.

If he's out for the season I can't see us getting top five. After his ACL we couldn't stop conceding goals till the end of the season, four clean sheets in 20 games? Often conceding two plus. The likelihood is that avery month he misses will cost us valuable points.

'm sorry, but get tea fuck with this 'huge mistake risking him against Spurs', it's a first team cup tie, there was no reason at all to leave him out. He wasn't injured because he was tired, it was because of a foul, could've happened anywhere including in training.

Why did we play such a strong team in a non priority cup risking such injuries?.
Honestly? I hope you didn't really mean that?

..the one on Rogers was much worse, tried to clean him out properly. Also did Watkins on the sly just after Ollie came on...hence the aggro at the end of the game.

So if he's out long term,  and assuming it won't be deemed fair play to go and spend money on a holding MF, we have a promising young player and Barkley when he himself returns / gets match fit again (March?) to fill in.

Onana likely back in training next week according to the boss. He'll stand in for him as soon as he's fit.
For 5 games.

Pissing all over his keks with us dropping out the top 5 as well.

Yeah, no problem at all with playing him in that game. Onana picking up niggly injuries really don't help us either.

Not if there's soft tissue or muscle damage necessarily. It could be that he feels well enough on the leg to train, but the medical staff won't give him any sort of all clear without extensive testing. Certain injuries require different types of treatment and they'll want to nail down exactly what it is before putting a number on it.

Yep, as long as a definitive diagnosis remains "inconclusive", they will assume the worst to avoid MAKING it worse.  That said, I would imagine the club have a pretty good idea what the damage is now, and they're just waiting to get it 100% confirmed.

Indeed. In all honesty, Emery's actual statement on it didn't sound half as bleak as it does when you're reading it. Still not good of course, but he does immediately correct himself as though he's misspoken slightly.

Straws are being clutched here of course, but I did feel slightly better about it once I'd actually heard his intonations and the like.

We need another central midfielder anyway, so should be looking to get a loan or find one to buy and clearly we are looking after the Gallagher thing. Bouba being out is a huge blow, but Onana and Bogarde can play in there now, whereas 2 seasons ago Luiz was lost on his own once Kamara was injured.

This is it. There's been an intense amount of dooming on various places about the whole situation. Kamara is our most important player, there's little doubt about it. But we're in a better position to deal with it now then we have been.

Hell, people where discussing not one month ago whether Onana should now be getting the nod over Kamara.

The irony is that Spurs beat us to Gallagher because their player Bentancur is out for an extended period of time, when it was their player that has now put our player out for an extended period period of time.
