Fucking hell- why’s it taking so long to work out?

I guess inflammation needs to settle to detect the damage

Presumably because they have to wait for swelling to subside before getting an accurate scan.

Fair enough - that very much has the potential to change the view from earlier in the week. With this news and Onana still being out, we feel pretty light all of a sudden.

Lamar Bogarde is about to play a bigger role. Hemmings too you'd guess.

It's ok - we can just go and do what Man City have done and spend £20m on a back-up defender... that will rot in the reserves next season.

Why did we play such a strong team in a non priority cup risking such injuries?.

I dont really get this point - its the FA cup it should be a priority.

And we dont have a squad depth if the sky 6.  Onana and Barkley out - so it basically means that Kamara and Bogarde will both feature.

Bouba isn't exactly Robocop either. It was a cynical challenge that warranted a yellow, but not really one that should lead to a long-term injury.

If he is out long term Paulinha should get an 'interesting' reception at Villa Park in a few weeks 🤔

I was trying to find a video.  But at the time I thought it was an awful challange that was likely to cause injury.  Not is the same way as some - but it wasnt just a cynical trip
