If he was English, he'd be getting plenty of attention.  Honestly, the less said about him in the media the better. I think as long as he's getting in the French squad (which I'm sure is a professional aim), then his going under the radar and not being sold by media from right under our noses is a good thing.

Interestingly, Onana has had a few plaudits recently but I wonder if that's because the narrative gets to talk about his fee, and him "justifying it at last".

France have half a dozen in Kamara position who are top class bit like England with attacking wide(r) players / number 10s.

If he was English he’d be bigged up more

If he signed for city Chelsea PSG Barcelona he’d be in the national squad
Unfortunately This is a classic case of he’s not in the national team because of who he plays for whether we like it or not, it’s one of the reasons players want to leave sometimes

Just an unbelievable player. World class. One of the best number 6s in Europe and seemingly no one apart from us knows he's there!
Totally disagree. He's a classic 4 not a 6. 6's play alongside the centre halves.

I thought a 4 was a centre half...

4 was often a midfielder, with the 5 and 6 central defenders. Kent Neilsen was often a 6. But in modern football 6 is a CDM.

My Sunday football, the number four was always the very lazy overweight, but cultured (in their mind), sitting just in front of the defence, he could pick a pass, but knackered after 50 minutes.

1 is GK, 2 is RB, 3 is LB, 4&5 are CH, 6 is DM,  after that it depends on formation but 1 to 6 is set in stone

4 would also be used for the holding midfielder, definitely wouldn’t say either approach was set in stone.

Keown, Ciaran Clark and james Collins were all 6s too. But agree that a 6 is a defensive midfielder in todays football. Same way Gary Shaw was number 8, but not an 8.
