The goal !

Careful, came up as a malicious/infected website on my Mac with Avast.

Better to wait for Legion to post the Sky Sports highlights. :)

This is the most positive I've felt about the Villa since we beat Blackburn 2-0 to go 3rd about 12 years back.

The owners, the CEO, the backroom, the manager, the squad, the academy, the fans, the potential.

Fucking love this club and I feel like everybody else involved with us does too.

We struggled to get over the line today against a poor Everton side.  Watkins I am starting to think is not the real deal, Mings how many balls he let go over him rather than try and do the easy thing and get shot early, Magic showed in patches and it was our two Argentina players who made the difference.   Suppose it goes to show how we are improving in that when we do play iffy we can still win.

Excellent win!

1st half we were easily the better side. Played all thr football and went close with Watkins and the free kick. I cannot think of anything of note they created, beyond a Clavet-Lewin header that nearly went our for a throw in.

2nd half they changed changed system slightly and decided that to stop us playing football, they'd stop the ball being on the deck.

They're a huge side, which made Emi's goal all the better, but they won so many 50/50s in the air and swarmed for knock downs.

It was dire, agricultural, rubbish and we couldn't get a grip of the ball, so it kept coming back.

It was very refreshing to see us roll our sleeves up and grind it out. Emi made one save of note, but we did well to restrict them. 1 chance from open play.

Pity we were bullied a bit physically in midfield and couldn't take a grip of the game. If we'd done better with that chance at the start of the 2nd half, we might have had a more comfortable time of it.

My son's 1st away goal and win! We were absolutely choked by the pyro mind.

The Countinho song is class!

Watkins, Countinho, both neither at the races. Need that brute in midfield to give us control.

Great win though.

Good summary.
Nice to be back at Goodison after over 20 years, showing its age, but still a throwback and id take going there all day over the soulless empty had.
Dogs of War second half and theres nothing wrong with a bit of that in some games, and ill take that all day long today.
Everton, famous old club, like ourselves, they look in a bit of bother to me.

Cheers as when I read the words the 'Allez, Allez' tune kept coming into my head. Much better than the Wham 'Wake me up' one.

Like the way Ming's on occasions in the second half when last man decided to not mess about as in the past and kick it out

An Everton fan arrested following bottle throwing incident.
I would say throw the book at him but 2 wrongs don't make a right.
He wouldn't know what to do with it.
But as a matter of interest, why would throwing the book at someone for breaking the law and endangering somebody be a wrong?

I hope they played the Z-Cars theme as they did so.

And yes Press and Media all that fuss about big Dunc take that you arseholes.  He is the perennial caretaker and I am afraid passion and intimidation doesn't work every time especially against a solid pro outfit like the Villa.
The commentator on BT was absolutely desperate for Everton to score in the second half, to support their narrative of Big Dunc Turns It Round.
