Its as if Duncan intended to play and set the team up accordingly.

We survived the almost nailed-on nterim manager/club legend bounce, but the second half was poor.  We'll play  etter than that and lose.

Reminded me of Southampton away last season.

Pretty solid first half and pinched a goal right at the end and then came under sustained pressure near the end.

Still we won, kept a clean sheet for first time in a month and with our run of games I really think we can solidify ourselves in top 10 for rest of the season,

Everton are desperate and really have the look of us around 2012-13. Some o.k forward players but rest of their team generally is clueless. Would still be odd to see them in the championship but they really aren't far off bottom 3 now.

For a little guy Buendia dosen't half have a good spring on him. Well done to the little fella, been excellent last few games and finally showing his worth.

According to my Evertonian mate the club have announced anyone caught throwing projectiles onto the pitch will be given lifetime bans. He and 3,000 others have come forward.

An Everton fan arrested following bottle throwing incident.
I would say throw the book at him but 2 wrongs don't make a right.
He wouldn't know what to do with it.
But as a matter of interest, why would throwing the book at someone for breaking the law and endangering somebody be a wrong?

I read it as a joke.  He threw a bottle, they throw a book back. Hence "two wrongs".  I don't think he was genuinely  suggesting they go leniently.

I believe it was a clever pun, (made me smile anyway) - by throwing a book?

How thick is Duncan Ferguson by the way, he makes Gabby sound like a PhD theoretical physicist.

I think the 2 blokes who broke into his house were far more stupid than either

Good result and a difficult second half

But let’s be honest Coutinho was a bit rubbish and Watkins was Atrocious
But then look how Buendia turned out in the end so not writing him off no Siiiree
Absolutely not

Game of two halves. Me moved the ball well first half and should have been a couple up. DF made subs and went for hoof ball and we got dragged into it. Buendia is some player and will only get better.
Be sad to see Goodison go as it’s a proper ground.

Thought he could have bought Hause on earlier to help stem the long ball, you can't play pretty football against a side that was a throwback to the thirties. Ugly win yes but a very important one it says to other clubs that we are not to be taken as a soft touch. JM did not play well but he supplied the aggression when needed in midfield in fact all the team put in a shift. I hope for Everton supporters they are not thinking of giving Ferguson the job permanently, he had one tactic today and it failed, well done Villa.
