This is the biggest game in football for me, I’ve seen some great games down the years. Beating them means more to me than beating Birmingham. 2-0 to us and we’ll play them off the park. As usual I don’t care who scores
Same here Allan. I am surrounded by their GHs in and around the family and I hate them all with venom. (family reds that is)

Just sort out the profligate finishing, wayward passing and duff defending and we'll keep the media storm on them . I like to think Gerrard's playing down of VAR was partly because he was pissed off at the fact it shouldn't have mattered given our dominance.
That's exactly how I saw it. We were all justifiably raging at var for blatantly robbing us of a goal and he probably was too. But he preferred to highlight the fact that we had every opportunity to win the game if we had turned our dominant periods in the game into goals. Also he mentioned us conceding goals too easily which has got to stop. I like that. I like that attitude

It's a very fair point. If Konsa and Mings hadn't defended like drains, and if Watkins could finish, we'd have been out of sight.
All very good points which is why I wonder how so many on here would rather play Watkins ahead of Ings ??

Because we're a better team when he plays, and he's a better player than Danny Ings.

Agreed, and although Watkins should have scored when he hit the bar, I doubt Ings would have got himself into that situation in the first place.

At the moment, our nominated centre-forward still plays most of the time with their back to goal, and Watkins is better at that. If we do go with twin '10s' and we can pull it off and do start seeing a greater number of clearer chances being created, I'd rather see Ings on the end of them.

Not to sound too Kevin Keegan but I would love it if we beat these fuckers.

We should be beating them. This is a dreadful Man United team, getting worse by the game. Id definitely start with both Digne and Coutinho, give the team a real boost.

That's what I thought too.

I'd like to see us line up like this:

                        Watkins
          Coutinho            Buendia

    Ramsey            Luiz            Sanson

Digne         Mings           Konsa          Cash

                         Martinez

I'd play Ings over Watkins for this one, but otherwise the same team.

Not sure. Ollie is as we know inconsistent finisher but his movement and chasing will certainly unsettle their CBs. Ings I just don't see having same impact and he's constantly on periphery of the match.

If we start with Countinho we need a forward who can create space centrally for them to run into so think Ollie is better bet for that.

Interesting call for the manager. Getting in Phil makes it much less likely we'll be starting two strikers for rest of the season imo especially as we should get a DM in this window.

They are for the taking.

Not just beating them but absolutely smashing them, I want us to embarrass them so badly.

Also its about time we had new signings that hit ground running on their debuts. It might be my selective memory but it does feel like more often than not our signings are never up to speed and have to settle in.

Something to do pre-match if you're having a dry January.

I'm glad they're doing this but surely it should be 12 players not 11?  Rimmer contributed massievly to us winning the European cip and should be honoured too.

Just over 52 years ago. Andy Lochhead and Pat McMahon. Attendance 58,667.

I'm still bitter from the Cup and I hope that all of the years of suspect officiating are corrected in one ninety minute period tomorrow at VP and we smash 'em.
