This is the season we do the league double over them.
Villa win.
With a point to prove after the defeat on Monday, under the lights, the new signings.
It will be a great night.

I don't think they're gonna give Man U anything iffy.

Having been to every home game at VP against these arseholes since 1999 to 2010, the following events occur when PGMOL want to give man u a Holywood game:

- A Villa player in an area of the pitch that will see lots of play will get booked in the opening 10-15 mins. The centre half say, or a midfielder.

- Similar challenges by man u players will not be carded.

- They will be awarded most 50/50's.

- Any free kicks you do get will be in your own half

- At around the 70th minute, one of their players will be booked

- They will be awarded a penalty

- We will be told we only have ourselves to blame

No chance Coutinho starts imo. I don't know anything but he's been out for ages. Needs to be phased in.

I'm surprised. You've been smirking about his arrival for the past week!

Best he comes off the bench when we're 2-0 up with fifteen to go, imo.

These arseholes are going to get what’s been coming to them for a very, very long time. 5-0 and that’s only because we will declare after 75 minutes.

For the first time in ages we're the better team. We've shown that twice at Old Trafford this season so with a ridiculously hostile Villa Park crowd we'll be ok. The score is irrelevant. Just win.

At least this tw@t won't be at the game. I assume he's a 'Devon Red' but could be a Villa fan given his name.

I think its a simmering rage rather than confidence. I don't normally look forward to this game. But I feel like we're playing the Noses or the Tesco Bags on the weekend.

Knowing Gerrard is a bit of a nutter, I think the players will be wound up and just as annoyed as us. It's happening, we're going to go through then like a fucking train.

I like the fact that Gerrard has the look of an absolute head case in his eyes. I think Terry was like that to. You don’t need it to be at the top but it helps when your desire to win is more than those around you or who you compete against. But it doesn’t make a top manager and he needs to learn all of the other required skills and traits of coaching and man management. Because if all it take was to be mental, Roy Keane would be winning everything.

And in traffic news... There's repairs to a burst water main on Lichfield Road at Aston Cross, there's currently no through traffic along there between the roundabouts* at Park Lane and Waterlinks Boulevard.

*given the amount of water there yesterday morning, 'island' would actually have been the correct term.
