When he first arrived, I was concerned he was lightweight, a sort of Carles Gil for the 2020s.

Emi really looking the part now.I've just had a look at the two together as interestingly they've had almost exactly the same amount of time on the pitch in the league so far this season:GrealishMinutes: 1,242Goals: 2Shots: 20Big chances missed: 6Assists: 2Chances created: 36Dribbles succeeded: 27EmiMinutes: 1,234Goals: 2Shots: 16Big chances missed: 1Assists: 3Chances created: 30Dribbles succeeded: 27So Emi's scored just as many, assisted more, not fluffed as many big chances and has the same number of successful dribbles. All when he's only really been performing for half of that time on the pitch, cost about a third what we sold Grealish for and is a year younger.Based on half a season's worth I know who I think got the better deal.I’d be interested to see pass completion stats, I think that’s where Buendia needs to improve a lot but I wonder if that’s backed up with the stats. Pass completion stats:Grealish 88% / Emi 80%You have to be careful though with stats in isolation. Man City have loads of possession with tons of easy sideways passes. I'd suggest Emi's generally under more pressure and trying to be more progressive so more passes are likely to go astray.

Early season he was getting knocked off the ball a lot - that seems to have changed in the last few games and I cant work out what he has done to change.
He's getting better, but he still loses possession a bit too easily. When you do that against the likes of Man City and Liverpool you often don't see the ball again for 5 minutes.
The money we spent on Buendia is not the problem, its the other 60million of the Greasy money.
