The money  we spent on Buendia is not the problem, its the other 60million of the Greasy money.

Well as per Buendia I wouldn’t write Bailey off yet.

On Ings he’s fine as an addition to the squad. The problem is Watkins and him can’t play together - so you have to make a choice.

Which is fine isn’t it. Not many clubs can boast two strikers with the quality we have. We were bemoaning the lack of back up, and now we've got one, albeit one that wants first team football.

I haven't written him off but we will have got very little return on the investment so far and I am not convinced that Ings was an astute piece of business either.

As it should be. A quality player shouldn't settle for the back up position and certainly not with a club not in Europe. If Ings want's to be playing football he needs to be putting pressure on Watkins.  Watkins needs to feel that pressure and turn missed chances into goals. The same for every position.  There should never be a case of first name on the team sheet, Martinez is the exception at the moment literally and figuratively.

Any truth to Emi being stretchered off today in the friendly against Molde? Hopefully just tossers bullshitting on social media.

EDIT: Ignore. Tossers!

Seems he has fully recovered from the horrific injury he sustained at the weekend where his legs and torso were reported to have been located in opposite corners of the ground. Seems fine now and ready to roll vs Leeds

Hope he’s not out for long. Our energy off the ball disappeared without him.

I thought the same, as soon as he went off we lost all energy. I like Chuck but he hasn’t got that tenacity about him yet. Emi is such a massive player now for us, hope he’s ok.

There was a 30 second passage of play that sums him up
1. Under pressure from two Leeds players did an amazing turn which took both out of the game
2. Once free, he had Xavi-vision to see a through ball to put watkins clean through
3. but gets the execution all wrong.
4. Leeds break and he’s back making the block/tackle on the edge of our area.

Buendia and Coutinho are a frightening proposition. Buendia has been excellent for awhile now.

Absolutely no consistency, either brilliant or can't pass the ball 5 yards!
