How did it come across on TV?
Really well. At first I thought they were piping it in, it sounded so full. Well done!

Thought it would sound louder after the seniors game barely 24 hrs beforehand, but I guess there were less than half the amount of people in the ground.

Loserpool? For the First XI and Bingo no problem. But their youth team? Come on !
Yes it's an embarrassing title. I wouldn't like Liverpool boys to look at this.

The difference is that Liverpool don't need a youth team.  They buy by their name and reputation as one of the best European sides.  We on the other hand need to rely on sources much closer to home

Couple of things eamonn. I twas a very friendly atmosphere missing the hatred we have stored up for Chelsea etc. Secondly Villa fans were being very fair to the Liverpool lads. And we were really dominate, much much better team. Just wasteful otherwise it would have been a bigger loss for them. So all of this plus half of Sunday crowd impacted on noise level.

What has that got to do with the thread title?

What nonsense, they have consistently had one of the best academies in the Country for as far back as I can remember. Gerrard, Owen, Fowler, Carragher, McManaman, Metteo, Sterling, Coady, Alexander-Arnold.

Even after those listed they have still produced various others that have had decent careers and that they sold on for big profits such as Ibe, Kelly, Ince, Wilson, Nugent, Wisdom, Guthrie, Thompson.

Amazed we won when according to the thieving scallies obsessed commentary in the second half our plucky boys were totally overwhelmed by the unemployed.

Why not stereotype when you can 😇

If anybody thinks they fancy a watch of it again, it's on BT Sport 3 in half an hour, and on BT Sport 2 at 8 this evening.

That's what I mean. OK, these young lads have signed on at Liverpool but they are kids and are not responsible for the actions of their club and first team manager. It's a small point but we like to think we have class at the Villa. We are not showing any here.

Jedinak was at the game tonight assessing which of these lads might go out on loan next season. His primary role will be in development of the kids outside of the club.

Is Jedinak now employed by the club?  If so I've missed it being announced.  I've been wondering what had become of him.

Yep a few weeks ago. He's our new Loan Player Development Coach.

Thanks Drummond, as I said, completely missed that bit of news.

The commentators mentioned a couple of times that Liverpool were missing a key striker but never mentioned that we've missed Ruben Shakpoke all season.
