Not that it's any of my business, but I would urge nobody to get their hopes up for this one.

It's the Man Utd game where I wish Japan wasn't so strict about drugs

Same with Mexico. They're merely decriminalised here, rather than freely available in the shop next door.

I witnessed one of those strange arguments on social media the other day that made me want both participants to lose but ended up feeling like the biggest loser of the lot after wasting time reading the whole thing.

It started because the girl in the argument referred to Man United as "Manure". I always thought that has just been a fairly juvenile way of calling them shit. Turns out that certain people may have used it as a Munich disaster reference? Particularly West Brom?! This point was backed up with some dreadful sources (mostly Man United fanzines) and none of them even gave an era when it was first used.

I genuinely had no knowledge of this whatsoever until the other day, was it more common decades ago or is it utter bollocks?

The proper die hards hate being called Man U which they see as a derogatory insult from - i think it was someone like Leeds. I used to work with a Crawley Red and it drove him nuts. It’s ironic as so many of their ‘fan base’ use it to describe themselves.

I think I'd enjoy Mexico very much.

Who was it on here that got wound up by people calling them United? It was quite funny.

Which appellation is most agreeable to them? Yanited? Hardly uncommon, is it?

The Dalian memories are poignant at this time. Who is stepping up to get the goals? Hopefully a few will be putting their hands up for a chance in training this week. Do the big man proud. UTV.

This game. This ******* game. Anybody wants to compare our stats against these with every other team in the PL era (not that we were much better in the past), here you go

I'm not going to bother watching*, this fixture's a statistical nonsense.

*probably will, hope I don't regret the wasted time.

Tbh I'm surprised we've drawn almost a quarter of the games, doesn't feel like that.

1998 was last home win. Three-nil in the League Cup. The fact that they played the reserves/kids isn't our fault, it isn't like Liverpool where they had no choice.

That was the one i remember for:

He played Bosnich in goal and the Holte slaughtered him for 90 m in

Red faced cnut when asked about playing kids said "I expected my team to win"   reason #234 to fucking hate them

I'm sure most of those were down to us not being able to hold out and conceding late, so they'd feel like defeats anyway.
