They're definitely adding a lot of wheelchair spaces, it was in the planning application as one of the reasons for the development.

We have been woefully short on these spaces, so it's a much-needed improvement.

Believe they are adding waiting areas for wheelchair users at Aston Station (maybe Witton too).

In fairness to Redsox, Fenway Park is an historic, beautiful baseball stadium.  But the debate online seems to be more about big ugly bowls in the middle of nowhere vs traditional stadia in Europe.  There's no contest.

I'm not sure it's a reasonable comparison. Fenway park compared to Lords makes sense, both are venues where you'd expect to be there for hours and watching sports where getting up from your seat and wandering away for 10 minutes mid-game is expected.

Football (and Rugby) stadiums are designed for a very different and much more visceral experience, get in grab a pre-game beer/tea/bovril/snack - get to your seat and stay there until half time then a quick break, stay there for the 2nd half and fuck off on or around the final whistle.

The rounders stadiums in the East tend to be good as they seem more football like, given they're invariably in a community and a bit more mismatched in design, owing to their age.

The Church, the park, the Jacobean mansion, the Holte Hotel, the Holte End, the Warehouse, the atmosphere, the history, the MacGregor statue, the tram depot, the Aston Hotel… everywhere else in the world can fuck off IMO.

Pretty sure it's something like 7 of the biggest stadiums in the world are college football stadiums.
