My wife laughed at me for ten straight minutes when she saw what I was watching (it was, for the avoidance of doubt, the stadium video) in bed last night.

Love can be cruel.

Love hurts, love scars
Love wounds and mars any heart
Not tough or strong enough to take a lot of pain
Take a lot of pain
Love is like a cloud, holds a lot of rain
Love hurts
With a nod of respect to the Everley Brothers, this brings me great memories of Nazareth's mighty Dan McCafferty.
What a front man he was.

It's hard to believe that the steel skeleton of this new stand will be erected in the next couple of months. Amazing if accurate.

It’s going to be really strange with the North being empty next season, but at least everyone seems confident it will be ready for the season after.

I can’t wait to see it all full and have nearly 50k Villans roaring the team on.

Surprised the roof is coming off so late in the project, thought doing that sooner would give them more room for the other stuff. Still think it looks a bot Heath Robinson but hey ho.
The roof appears to already be coming off.

In that original plan they were going to keep the NS open. Now they're not they don't have to protect anyone from the elements.

Apparently, according to plans on the Birmingham planning website, the NS lower tier will have 20 rows of seats. Anyone know what it was previously?

Does anyone know why it was called the North stand in the first place?

It's at the north end of the ground.

It seems to be about 15. Blew up an image and counted them. I must admit I expected it to be more. And yes, I should be able to find something better to do with my time.

How did you fill your spare time in the offseason?

By counting the number of rows in our old stand.
