If we were truly ambitious we'd build stands above Villa Park so as people could have a view like in Sensible Soccer.

It says they have asked to shut the Trinity Road for 6 months for the development .  I dont think that has gone down well with residents

I imagine its a right royal pain in the arse but tbh it happens on streets and roads up and down the country all the time. As ever after the initial moaning people find ways of coping.

NIMBYs crushed! You love to see it.

I watched the Villa on tour video from the Sunderland game it was filmed from the back of the Holte
The North stand, standing on its own looks a lonely, forlorn relic.

not informing local residents of the closure of Trinity Rd, closed for 7 months.....? All sounds a bit amateur hour tbh.

Worth pointing out that it isn't in the remit of the club to inform residents of its closure.

I’m confused now. Are we …?

a) Going back to the Purslow plan (don’t think this is the case, but for completeness…)

b) Going ahead with the North Stand plans as they were

c) Going ahead with the North Stand but doing some alterations that won’t affect the capacity to any meaningful degree

d) Option C but it will add to the capacity?

The Calvo statement sounded like wouldn’t make any changes, but then the Tanswell article felt like it was saying we were making some bigger changes that’d add a couple of thousand extra seats

It's c or d and I'd lean towards the latter, depending on what counts as meaningful, it sounds like there's more work happening in the trinity corner than was on the plans we've seen and I'd be surprised if that doesn't include some extra seating. I'd guess we might also see them go back to moving the tunnel further into the corner as per the Purslow plans.

They won’t be changing anything significant as that’d need to reengage the planning process. Interesting though that they’re doing it in totally closed mode for the season though. Didn’t Emery say he didn’t want us playing in front of an empty end in the champions league?

I expect Emery and Heck didn't want it closed during CL at the time, for different reasons. But it now has to be done so we will have to cope with one stand closed. I wonder if booking OzFest for next summer has been another thing to speed up the process.

Possibly, however the North Stand isn’t used for gigs anyway as the stage is at that end.

There's a big yellow road sign on the corner of the Trinity Road stating that the road will be closed for 10 months. The sign has been there for at least a week.

It is therefore the backstage though, and that probably is important for a show like that.

We saw that before the Bologna game and concluded that it would be related to the works on the NS.

Poor communication again.,This was brought up at the fans forum again last weekend.
They done exactly the same when they moved/relocated many North Stand ST holders couple of summers back.
Seems the club just take no notice . An email informing of any possible changes really isnt too much to ask .

What's the issue with telling season ticket holders now?
