Needs to incorporate a HP tower in both corners to outdo chimneys.

Crikey thr image for the players section is huge. Basically all the carpark that was behind the Corner Flag.

Are there new renders?!

There is clearly a forthcoming change from the consented Heckstension scheme.

The official news release states:

'The redevelopment will also deliver substantial football infrastructure benefits, including the creation of approximately 500 square metres of new first-team changing, medical and physiotherapy facilities, alongside the upgrade of all player competition areas. '

This is not within the consented scheme. Something similar was in the Purslow Plans, situated around a new tunnel in the corner of the wraparound between the Trinity and the New North Stand.

Furthermore, from Tanswells article:

'The Athletic has seen copies of the redevelopment proposals' - this indicates there are new proposals which are not public domain.

'The new North Stand will wrap around into the neighbouring main Trinity Stand' - this was clearly not the case with the last heckstension.

Put the dots together - the design is changing again.

Can only assume they figured this was a bonus route they could go down by closing the stand.

Interesting first post  :-\

Youve got me excited for a bigger north stand with a red brick exterior now. If that doesnt happen, its on you.

Haha have followed the reno plans closely and occasionally read through this thread in particular and didn’t see anyone else putting this together so made an account to comment…

Nothing I’ve said is ‘ITK’ or anything is it - it’s literally in the info from Villa and comments from Tanswell.

Having read through all the planning docs, when I read the comment about 500m2 of players area it was obvious it’s a change as that is 100% not in the current consent.

Tbh I would wager it is much closer to the Heck plans than Purslows. The purslow end was massive and was from scratch, the FAQs say they are still retaining part of the structure. My hunch is the stands might go wider on each side to get more room for internal areas in addition to the concourse, and the ties in to TS and WL will be higher than it was.

Losing purslows plans for the heckstension really pissed me off tbh as it did many - I don’t think heck’s is anywhere near befitting of what we should be doing with VP when you look at the new end at Anfield and the proposed Leeds and Forest renovations.

Hoping we can get way closer to Purslows now we’re closing the bloody thing anyway. Sadly doubt it, but we will see
If they're going to conjoin the NS to the Trinity this surely means that long term the same will happen between the new NS and an extended Doug. If I'm right this will be the Horseshoe design with a freestanding Holte End. While we will lose our beloved 4 separate stands design it will eventually give us the necessary capacity of 60k plus that will enable us to compete at the highest level in the foreseeable future.
It just seems inevitable in the long run and it means we will be staying in our ancestral home forever. Which is great news to the vast majority of our fans.
The lower tiers are already (almost) a bowl. I’ve wondered a few times how far you could take that whilst retaining the character of having 4 distinct stands. I reckon you could make that Trinity-North Stand corner fairly big and as long as it was still single tier you’d be fine.

Yeah, but looks like he's deleted it.

He often has wishful thinking but even he’d agree at moment we now don’t know what’s going to emerge other than the statement today. We know the planning footprint approved but a lot of wriggle room now.

I just want red brick, not a fan of that cladding type replacement, although its better than nothing.

Same. The original was great.

This feels like it's being rushed in on the cheap.

Yeah all seems very ambiguous beyond we get something better than we have now in a years time. Seems to be more details in the Atheltic

The original consented plan in 2022 was enormous. It really used all that space behind.

Maybe it was a dream , but wasn't the Warehouse supposed to have a Micro Brewery ?

Best off swerved. Enough BO and bad faith in B6 as it is.
