Apparently for the next home game the team will run out to Bruce Springsteen belting out 'The River'..
Or Boney M

By the rivers of trinity
Where we sat down
Where we got wet
When we remembered Dion

By the rivers of trinity
Where we sat down

Or Billy Joel's River of Piss....

In a river of piss,
I go looking for my seat,
But the queues go from the Holte,
All the way back to New Street,

I'm searching for something,
It was part of my soul,
Something I thought I'd never lose,
It's my old seat a cock-sucker stole.

I don't know why I check my wallet at night,
But now I'm tired and I don't want to check anymore,
I hope it doesn't take the rest of my life
Until I don't have to re-download from the app anymore.

In the middle of some piss!

John Townley in the Evening Mail reporting that the club is looking at Saturday's debacle and are planning to contact fans directly. Steps to be taken to resolve problems. But the article doesn't contain a direct quote from anybody at the club.

So thus far, we have no official acknowledgement that anything went wrong on Saturday.

If the day had been a resounding success you can bet a certain somebody would have been all over social media doing puff pieces about it.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, it's from John Townley's article in the Birmingham Mail. If this was Blues Id be pissing myself.

Supporters with tickets in two rows in the Doug Ellis Stand turned up to Villa Park on Saturday without their seat existing in the stadium. Some fans, who were relocated due to the introduction of the '150 club', took up the offering of new season ticket seats in rows BB in block P6 after being told that the rows were being installed where a camera station was due to be removed.

However, upon entering the stadium they discovered that the row was not there. Row AA was also missing.

How on earth is something like that allowed to happen? Amateur hour from Heck and his underlings.

How do they know which fans to contact as large numbers are disgruntled but like me won’t complain to AVFC because we see it as a waste of time which only results in empty platitudes being offered.

What a cock-up. Don’t they check / test these changes before hand?

A bit harsh, itbrvilla was only trying to shine a light on the news on LinkedIn.

Maybe it's my age but any feeling of value from the club towards the likes of me took flight a while ago and perhaps my cynicism is unfounded but if feels like a deliberate policy to run down GA to push people to pay more.

I saw one tweet over the weekend where the poster included a picture from the external balcony of the Holte looking back at the enormous queues stating that TV was better value than ever. The club might as well use that in it's promotional material.

My view also sadly, that's what I actually expect now, the days of Aston Villa in division three are a distance memory
