He made a stupid mistake that cost us big time.

What about all the times he's saved us?

Cost us big time- you said it.

Making saves is his job. Keepers save their sides every week. So many examples even from just this weekend.

He’s capable no doubt about it. We just him to be consistent.

Another 50 performances like today and he’ll be half way to making up for his stupidity in the last game of last season.

And how many excellent games do the rest of the players from that match need to have to make up for their performances?

In the name of consistency and fairness, it also has to be 50 for all the other Villa players who got recklessly sent off that day.

So every player who barely performed for 90 mins gets a pass, but the player who kept us in it for 45 mins needs FIFTY games to repent. Does Konsa need 50 games for the sending off against Newcastle?

No, why?

Well your argument seems to be if a player is sent off for being the last man, they need 50 game saving performances to make up for it. Konsa got sent off as last man against Newcastle so........

Not at all… why would you think that?

That has gone quickly. One of the best signings the club has made.

Happy anniversary. Took him four and a half years to act the tool which is good going in any relationship in my experience!

Any reason given why Emi didn't play last night or was it just rotating the squad?

Tuesday nights away to Brentford in the least important competition are beneath him. Quite right, better to hunker down in Tamworth.

To be fair to Emi he has always said he'd stick with us providing we continue to progress. Back in November/December last season we were really struggling and that may have been the point where he decided to think about changing agent and moving on. January 2025 he signed up with Jorge Mendes. Mendes sees Amorim needs a top keeper and all is verbally agreed. What Emi may not have known was that the Man U board in early June turned down any chance of Emi moving there on top money due to his age and no resale value. The deal was dead in the water. Thereafter we got messed around by Man U through the press. A loan deal proposal was the final insult.
