It's all Villa ever manage.

Martinez has been played like a bitch by united

No sympathy  whatsoever for him

An opportunity to make your kids rich for life so they don’t have to worry about living in a council house or scraping by on a couple of grand a month like many people have to. Don’t be so fucking shortsighted. Football is a short career and is paid well because of this. I think people need to remember the five years or so of absolute quality we’ve had from Martinez and whether he goes or stays even to that barrel of fuck fest up north we need to be grateful for the time that he was at Villa.

There might have been too much damage caused for him to be able to play for us again.
Naw, if he’s not sold by 7pm, he’ll have to. He’s better than Bizot and most other keepers. A mess though.

If I was EMI - I would be sacking my agent
Indeed. Glad Mute Records are no longer a part of that cartel. Fuck the majors!

I find the notion that 'something "broke"' between Martinez and Villa a bit weird, given he did play against Brentford and would've played yesterday but for all this.

He should be grateful we turned him from a nobody that was constantly on loan in the lower leagues into a WC winner. Fuck us being grateful to him like he did us a favour we didn't deserve.

Turkish transfer window open to the 11th so quite possible that this isn't resolved today.

@villareport
🚨 NEW: Whatever happens, Emi Martínez will leave Aston Villa. Something ‘broke’ at the end of last season between the club & the player. Aston Villa were asking for around £40m, but now that figure is much smaller.

Off you fuck then.

Hard to square this with him going straight back into the side for the Brentford game.

There's surely no way we sell him without having a replacement. Surely not.

It would need to be resolved today if we want to bring in a replacement, though.

As I said there will be an Instagram post whatever happens, if he goes I expect "Promises broken" to appear somewhere!

I think it’s moreso that Emi went out and got a new agent to position himself for this move. United laid out the bait. He bit and ran with it, and now that they’ve gone with a different keeper he and the club are left in a strange position. He engineered this chaos, shocker.

@villareport constantly quotes Footy Insider, Ben Jacobs and Romano. I’d take anything coming from that link with a pinch of salt. And loves to put up the Here We Go Romano bollocks.
