“Its not helping us," said Emery in his post-match press conference. "It’s not helping us. It’s one of the circumstances that we are having now not helping. But tomorrow we will see it and how are closing the transfer window.“We have a lot of circumstances that are not helping to be mentally like we were last year. But after tomorrow, we are going to set everything.""He was not available. Tomorrow is the deadline and we will see. We need players focused and 100 per cent and he wasn’t."Villa remain working to strengthen on the final day, with free agent Victor Lindelof set to join. The former Man United completed his medical and will finalise a move on an initial two-year deal.Villa, however, are unsure whether Martinez will still be at the club by tomorrow's 7pm deadline."The reality is I don’t know (if we sell him)," Emery added. "We are working, we are busy until the last moment at 7pm with everything we have around us. But I am confident we are going to start again after the international break with a new energy and focus completely and no doubt.
So what is it you are trying to say?We lost today because Martínez didn’t play. Martínez has screwed us over.Man U has screwed us over.We have screwed ourselves.

Martínez has screwed us over.Man U has screwed us over.We have screwed ourselves.Who knows would we have lost? Martinez is fast off his line when needs to be, would it have still been a pen or would he have gotten a touch? Guehi's goal was probably unstoppable (although I have seen Emi save some corkers) but Bizot inexplicably ran to the edge of his 6 yard box so definitely gave himself no chance. Third one, who knows what would have happened if the players hadn't given up by being 2-0 down. As for screwing us over, well you want it to be Villa for some reason. But then Manure, who had been courting Emi decide to stop going any further in July, seem to settle with who they have, make a bid for Lammen and then decide at the last minute on the day of a match to get all their mates to state he has gone is definitely an external screwjob.
No sudden bid on the day of the match, Emi plays. Maybe all the wanking you have been doing since the news broke he was being sold has affected your sight.
I don't like him leaving this close to the deadline but can't help but feel we've seen the best of him anyway. Any player can go through a bad patch but his lasted almost the entire season compared to what we'd seen before.

Any player can go through a bad patch but his lasted almost the entire season compared to what we'd seen before. For alot of the season he had several make shift defences he had in front of him that wasn't giving lots of protection. I know the stats on expected saves shows he made less then expected, but like with the one last week, he would make stops but have no protection from the defence for any follow on. And when we had a reasonably static and trusted defence he was back to his best for most of, including the first 45 mins at Old Trafford until the rush of blood. He can still fuck off though like he wants.
Probably the best keeper we’ve ever had. I can’t wish him success at the clown show and really deep down I hope he turns to shit.
