I bet if we swapped him for Onana and cash, Onana would become a world class keeper for us. (I do not suggest we test that theory)

I think his contract is til 2029.   I would be shocked if we get 50m.   Unless its one of these made up deals where we 6 youth players all valued at 10m or something like that.

I remember when we played Inter Milan, ITV only bothered showing the second half, but at the time my dad got Rai Uno free with his Sky subscription so we were able to watch the first half on that. The commentators kept saying "Sound-airs" and "Stown-ton". BFR pronounced it "Sarnders".

He nicknamed him the Colonel.

Man United paid £52m for that absolute donkey Onana. Why are we accepting less or is this just H&Vism.

I do. He's one of the best goalkeepers in the league and Europe. You want the Argetine number 1 who has 2 years to run, you pay the price.

Exactly
I’d be pretty p!ssed off if he went for less than £70m, unless his replacement was an exceptional bargain too

We thought Duran would go for like 90 - 100m.  He went for 60m.   We only got £40mish for dougie

Martinez is 33 - and I just dont see anyone paying more than 50m to a club that has to sell for a 33 gk.  And I dont see Man Utd or Barca have that kind of money to spend on a 33 gk.  Unless its a made up deal with book value.

I hope Im wrong - but I would be surprised if I am.

Probably why he's not going to go to a pair of skint rats then isnt it.

3 weeks ago I'd have sold him. Now he's had a cry and played really well for 3 games, no chance. Fickle did someone say? Yep.

Anything £50-70M is my guess, with a decent wedge of swapsies happening.

I still just can't see him wanting to go to Saudi (apart from the obvious!): he'd want to stay in Europe to keep match sharp for the World Cup next year, surely?

(designing a Man Utd voodoo doll to stick pins into
for their last two games of the season)

Loads on here would have flogged Duran to West Ham for £30m. Less than 6 months later we sell him for more than double that, he clearly wanted out and I wouldn't be surprised if Unai wanted him out. And somehow that's the club not knowing what they were doing.

It certainly won’t be £30m

I dont think anyone is suggesting that the club dont know what there doing.  I was just explaining that what we as fans think a player is worth if normally higher than it works out

I dont see it as 70m - 80m unless its saudi money

Man Utd paid £50m for that absolute clown they've got now.

Oh, just seen Ads made the same point, but it needs underlining.
